JAL to apply to state corp turnaround body -source

TOKYO, Oct 29 (Reuters) - Japan Airlines Corp (9205.T) will apply for assistance from a state-backed corporate turnaround body on Thursday, a source familiar with the matter said.

The body, called the Enterprise Turnaround Initiative Corp (ETIC), is able to tap up to 1.6 trillion yen in state-guaranteed funds until next March. (Reporting by Nobuhiro Kubo)
