Thai Hot Stocks-Index turns down, PTTCH rallies

 BANGKOK, Oct 30 (Reuters) - Thailand's stock index .SETI
was down 0.3 percent at 688.09 in thin turnover of 13.1 billion
baht ($392.3 million) at 0833 GMT on Friday, losing early
gains.
 Stocks on the move included:
 PTT CHEMICAL PTTC.BK UP ON 2010 PROFIT, EXPANSION
PROSPECTS
 Thailand's largest olefins maker jumped as much as 4.8
percent to 35 baht, recovering from a one-week low after the
company told Reuters it expected higher sales volume for its
petrochemical products to drive profit higher next year and
said it was looking to expand in Southeast Asian markets.

 At 0835 GMT, it was up 1.2 percent to 62.75 baht.

 PTT PTT.BK, SIAM CEMENT SCC.BK UP
 Top energy firm PTT rose 1.7 percent to 247 baht, PTT
Exploration PTTE.BK gained 1.7 percent to 148.5 baht and
conglomerate Siam Cement added 2 percent to 208 baht as
investors snapped up firms that would benefit from higher
commodity prices in the wake of a weak U.S. dollar.
 "The dollar weakness is positive to commodities stocks. We
focus on stocks with good fundamentals such as PTT, PTT
Exploration and Siam Cement which have low downside risks and
strong upside potential," broker Thanachart Securities said.

 TELECOMS SHARES EASE AFTER EXPECTED 3G DELAY
 True Corp TRUE.BK, which owns number three mobile phone
operator True Move, eased 0.6 percent to 3.58 baht while the
biggest, Advanced Info Service ADVA.BK, lost 0.6 percent to
87.75 baht as an auction of third-generation mobile phone
licences was expected to be delayed.
 One of the members of the National Telecommunication
Commission (NTC) told Reuters the auction could be delayed to
February as the documentation process may take longer than

 TPI POLENE TPIP.BK UP AFTER BETTER THAN EXPECTED Q3
 Thailand's third-largest cement maker gained 1 percent to
9.9 baht after it reported a 6.6 percent drop in third-quarter
net profit to 528.3 million baht, which was better than
