Thai Hot Stocks-Pacific Pipe gains, PTTEP down

BANGKOK, Nov 2 (Reuters) - Thailand's stock index .SETI was down 1.5 percent at 674.96 in thin turnover of 6.47 billion baht ($193.5 million) at 0425 GMT on Monday.
The main index fell for a fourth session, having hit the lowest in more than two weeks at 671.84 at one point.
Stocks on the move included:
PACIFIC PIPE PAP.BK SURGES ON PARTNER, REVENUE BOOST REPORT
Steel pipe maker jumped almost 7 percent to 1.69 baht, coming off a four-day high of 1.80, after Tanhoon newspaper reported the company was open to possible tie-ups with rivals and expected higher revenue of 4 billion baht in 2010 versus this year's expected 3.5 billion baht, helped by a steel industry recovery.
In 2008, the company reported a 17 percent rise in revenue to 3.94 billion baht

PTTEP PTTE.BK HIT BY FIRE AT TROUBLED RIG
The country's top oil and gas explorer shed as much as 4.8 percent to 138 baht, its lowest in more than three weeks, leading the market decline, following a fire at an Australian project.
An oil rig operated by its PTTEP Australasia Pty Ltd subsidiary in the Montara field located in the Southern Timor Sea, which has been leaking for 10 weeks, caught fire. [ID:nSYD469764]
The company told the exchange it was in the process of brining the fire under control. All personnel were safe, with no injuries.

TELECOMS STOCKS DOWN ON EXPECTED 3G DELAY
True Corp TRUE.BK, which owns number three mobile phone operator True Move, fell 2.3 percent to 3.38 baht while the biggest, Advanced Info Service ADVA.BK, lost 0.6 percent to 85.75 baht as an auction of third-generation mobile phone licences was expected to be delayed yet again.
One of the members of the National Telecommunication Commission (NTC) told Reuters on Friday the auction could be delayed to February as the documentation process may take longer than planned. [nBKK419908]
