Endace swings to H1 pretax loss; revenue up slightly

Nov 3 (Reuters) - Network-monitoring company Endace Ltd (EDA.L) swung to a first-half pretax loss but said it entered the second half with a healthy order backlog and was confident of its performance.

For the six months ended Sept. 30, pretax loss was $11,000 compared with a profit of $1.8 million a year ago.

However, the company said pretax profit before tax and share-option costs was $0.5 million -- in line with its expectations.

Revenue was slightly ahead of prior year at $13.8 million.

Shares of the company were down nearly 1 percent at 272.5 pence at 0801 GMT on Tuesday on the London Stock Exchange. (Reporting by Shivani Singh in Bangalore; Editing by Vinu Pilakkott)
