India Aditya Birla's Oct shipments up 11 pct y/y

MUMBAI, Nov 2 (Reuters) - India's Aditya Birla Group said on Monday cement shipments in October rose 11.1 percent from a year earlier to 2.819 million tonnes.

Production rose an annual 12.5 percent to 2.934 million tonnes, the company said in a statement.

The group's cement business includes flagship Grasim Industries (GRAS.BO) and unit UltraTech Cement (ULTC.BO), with a combined production capacity of 42 million tonnes a year. (Reporting by Prashant Mehra; )
