 - Bank Negara to issue detailed reserves position as of Oct
30 at 5.00pm (0900).
 - Reuters to issue poll on palm oil stocks, production and
exports for October. Traders expect palm oil stocks to hit 1.65
million tonnes due to a seasonal uptick in production.

MARKET SNAPSHOTS
 * Malaysian shares .KLSE ended flat on Thursday, weighed
down by losses in conglomerate PPB Group (PEPT.KL), down 2.5
percent, and energy services firm Ramunia (RAMU.KL), which
plunged 5 percent. But top palm planter Sime Darby (SIME.KL)
and sixth-ranked lender Hong Leong Bank (HLBB.KL) closed 0.8
and 1.1 percent higher on merger and acquisition talk. [.KLSE]
 * U.S. stocks jumped on Thursday, pushing the S&P 500 up for a
fourth day, as economic data boosted confidence in the recovery
and strong results from Cisco Systems (CSCO.O) suggested a
rebound in technology spending. [.N]
 * Oil fell nearly 1 percent to below $80 a barrel on Thursday,
as doubts about a recovery in oil demand outweighed positive
economic signals. [O/R]

 * Malaysian crude palm oil futures edged down on Thursday as
investors locked in some profit after a 3.8 percent rally a day
before, taking their cues from a retreat in crude oil, traders

 ASIA MARKETS NEWS - For an outlook of Asian stock trading,
click on [STXNEWS/AS] - Asian currencies stuck in tight ranges
on Thursday as investors awaited policy signals from major
central banks, while Indonesia's central bank was spotted
selling dollars to support the rupiah for the second day.
[EMRG/FRX] - Southeast Asian stock markets were mostly lower on
Thursday after a cautious economic outlook from the U.S.
Federal Reserve, with Singapore heavyweights CapitaLand and
SingTel coming under selling pressure, but Manila ended firm.
