BOSTON, April 10 (Reuters) - Symantec Corp (SYMC.O), the world's largest maker of security software, has begun a restructuring that includes an undisclosed number of job cuts, a company spokeswoman said on Thursday.

Company spokeswoman Yunsun Wee said that the Cupertino, California-based software maker has cut jobs at several locations around the world, but declined to elaborate.

"We're not releasing information on the size or the scope," Wee said. (Reporting by Jim Finkle, editing by Gerald E. McCormick)
