BLACKSTONE (BX.N)
Buyout firm The Blackstone Group said it hired Vikrant Sawhney as a Managing Director in its Private Equity group. Sawhney was previously with Deutsche Bank for nine years. While at Deutsche Bank, Sawhney worked with Blackstone on transactions including Celanese, Cumulus Media, Houghton Mifflin, Michaels Stores, New Skies Satellite, Nielsen (formerly VNU), and Sungard Data Systems.
BNP PARIBAS (BNPP.PA)
French bank BNP Paribas (BNPP.PA) said it had appointed Andrew Baehr as a managing director and senior equity derivatives flow salesperson in its equities and derivatives business in New York.
Previously Baehr was employed by Morgan Stanley as a senior derivatives sales person.
PNC FINANCIAL SERVICES (PNC.N)
PNC Wealth Management, a unit of PNC Financial Services Group Inc, said it named William Stone as senior vice president and chief investment strategist.
Stone has been with the firm since 2000, most recently as investment director for its Pittsburgh and Boston markets. Previously he worked for Salomon Brothers as a financial analyst.
BEAR STEARNS BSC.N
The financial services firm hired Peter DiMartino as senior managing director and asset-backed and mortgage credit strategist.
DiMartino was previously chief ABS-mortgage credit strategist at RBS Greenwich Capital.
MORLEY FUND MANAGEMENT LTD
The asset management arm of UK's largest insurer Aviva Plc (AV.L) said it boosted its Sustainable and Responsible Investments capabilities with the appointment of Jason Josefs as head of research. Josefs joins Morley from Bernstein Value Equities, a unit of AllianceBernstein.
