SAN FRANCISCO, March 10 (Reuters) - Oppenheimer Funds, the largest shareholder in Take-Two Interactive Software Inc (TTWO.O), sold half its stake in the video game company, regulatory filings showed on Monday.

Oppenheimer reduced its holdings to 8.8 million shares, or 11.5 percent of Take-Two, down from the 23 percent stake it had previously, according to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filings.

The sales followed a bid by Electronic Arts Inc (ERTS.O) two weeks ago to buy Take-Two for $26 a share. (Reporting by Scott Hillis, editing by Leslie Gevirtz)
