Broadcom expects 1st-qtr revs of $975 mln-$1 bln

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan 24 (Reuters) - Broadcom Corp (BRCM.O), a maker of wireless microchips, expects first-quarter revenue of between $975 million to $1.005 billion, Chief Financial Officer Eric Brandt said on Thursday.

Brandt also said that first-quarter gross margin would see a slight decline from the previous quarter as Broadcom continued to increase production of new products. (Reporting by Scott Hillis)
