SAN FRANCISCO, Nov 29 (Reuters) - Dell Inc (DELL.O) is seeing some caution among financial services customers but the computer maker's overall demand remains "pretty good," Chief Executive Michael Dell said on Thursday.

The company has seen "winds of caution in certain financial customers, but I'd say demand has been pretty good," Michael Dell said on a conference call with analysts after the company reported fiscal third-quarter results on Thursday.

Chief Financial Officer Donald Carty also told analysts the company is "not moving away" from its target, announced in May, of cutting 10 percent of its workforce. Still, he said, "we expect in a number of areas to have a lot of growth in the business as well."

"Net net, the actual level of head count we see next year at this time will be a product of the additional growth we see in the business and the additional efficiency we see in the business," Carty said.

Is Dubai bad news for the rest of us?

Financial markets went down on Dubai because they have become addicted to moral hazard and anything that doesn't conform with the idea that all shall be bailed out is scary.  Commentary
