Abraxis Pharma gets approval for cancer drugs

NEW YORK, Oct 16 (Reuters) - Abraxis BioScience Inc ABBI.O unit Abraxis Pharmaceutical Products said on Tuesday it got approvals to market versions of two leukemia drugs from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The company said it got the go-ahead to market the liquid and lyophilized versions of Fludarabine phosphate. The lyophilized version of fludarabine is the generic equivalent of Fludara, which is distributed by Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals Inc BAYG.DE. (Reporting by Bill Rigby)
