Verizon sees no economy impact, lower '08 spending
NEW YORK, Jan 28 (Reuters) - Verizon Communications Inc (VZ.N) is not seeing any impact on its business from a slowing U.S. economy, according to Chief Financial Officer Doreen Toben.
Toben said on a conference call with analysts that while it is monitoring the situation it "has not seen a change of sales expectations through January" and expects a solid 2008.
Verizon expects 2008 capital spending to be less than its 2007 level of $17.5 billion, Toben said. (Reporting by Sinead Carew, editing by Gerald E. McCormick)
