Foundry Networks quarterly profit rises

NEW YORK, July 26 (Reuters) - Networking products maker Foundry Networks Inc. FDRY.O said on Thursday its second-quarter profit rose sharply, helped by an increase in sales.

Net income in the quarter increased to $16.4 million, or 11 cents per share, from $4.4 million, or 3 cents per share, in the year-ago period.

Revenue rose to $143.2 million from $108.4 million in the year-ago period. (Reporting by Paritosh Bansal)
