Rentech says will respond as it deems appropriate to Sherwood

Nov 20 (Reuters) - Rentech Inc (RTK.A) said it will respond as it deems appropriate to its shareholder Sherwood Investments Overseas Ltd's proposal to buy the company for $2.70 per share.

In a statement, the synthetic fuels and fertilizer technology company said it had no prior notice of the letter or its contents before it was released publicly by Sherwood on Monday.
