BARCLAYS CAPITAL (BARC.L) (BCS.N)

Barclays Capital, a unit of Barclays Bank, named Tim Kitchen as managing director, head of Investment Banking, Canada. Kitchen will be based in Calgary and will oversee the firm's Toronto and Calgary investment banking teams. He was with Lehman Brothers before joining Barclays Capital.

AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND BANKING GROUP (ANZ.AX)

The banking group named Christine Ip as chief executive, China. Ip joins ANZ from Standard Chartered Bank (STAN.L) where she was country head of Consumer Banking for China.

NEW YORK LIFE

New York Life Insurance Co, a large U.S. mutual insurance company hired John Siciliano as senior managing director and head of the firm's investment boutiques. Siciliano was earlier with Grail Partners LLC.

HENDERSON GLOBAL INVESTORS

Henderson Global Investors hired Bob Arends, Dennis van den Bosch, Bernd Kraan, Brieuc de Hults and Jill Rootsaert to its currency team, headed by Bob Arends. The team joined on Jan. 5 from the investment banking arm of Fortis. (Compiled by Amiteshwar Singh in Bangalore)
