Teenage Russian designer's co files for Chapter 7 bankruptcy

Jan 2 (Reuters) - KP Fashion Co, which is owned by Kira Plastinina, the 16-year-old fashion designer and daughter of Russian businessman Sergei Plastinin, has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in a U.S. court.

The Los Angeles-based company listed $9.7 million in assets and $54.5 million in liabilities in papers filed with a bankruptcy court in New York on Wednesday.

KP Fashion listed Cyprus-based Lendero Ltd as its largest creditor to which it owes $29.9 million.

Court filings also showed that KP Fashion is in a legal battle with Pacific Sunwear of California Inc (PSUN.O) over trademark infringement.

Sergei Plastinin is a shareholder in and former chief executive officer of Russian dairy and juice producer Wimm-Bill-Dann (WBD.N).
