Medvedev says anti-crisis measures enough for now
BISHKEK, Oct 10 (Reuters) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said on Friday he believed the government had done enough so far to support the financial sector, but promised to hold a meeting to see how to help the real economy.
"So far we have been helping the financial markets, but we should not forget about the real economy," he told reporters in the Kyrgyz capital where he has been attending a summit of ex-Soviet states.
He also said he backed the idea of an emergency Group of Eight summit to tackle the financial turmoil.
"If it is held it would make sense that not only G8 countries take part in it, but other economies which determine the economic climate in the world: China, Brazil, India, South Africa and probably others," he said.
