Russia can avoid crisis, emerge stronger-Medvedev
MOSCOW, Oct 23 (Reuters) - Russia has a chance to avoid a currency, banking and debt crisis and can emerge from the global financial trumoil with a more effective economy, President Dmitry Medvedev said on Thursday.
Medvedev said in a video blog posted on his web site www.kremlin.ru, that the government will support consolidation in the banking, retail and construction sectors.
