US STOCKS SNAPSHOT-Wall St cuts losses after ISM data

 NEW YORK, July 6 (Reuters) - The Dow industrials and the
S&P 500 stock indexes briefly pared losses on Monday after U.S.
data showed activity in the services sector contracted less
than expected in June.
 The Dow Jones industrial average .DJI dropped 24.03
points, or 0.29 percent, to 8,256.71. The Standard & Poor's 500
Index .SPX shed 3.10 points, or 0.35 percent, to 893.32. The
Nasdaq Composite Index .IXIC fell 12.12 points, or 0.67
percent, to 1,784.40.
