MEXICO CITY, July 6 (Reuters) - Fitch Ratings does not see Mexico's credit rating outlook improving from negative anytime soon and expects the Mexican government to have a more difficult time negotiating with Congress following mid-term elections.

"Right now given that the fiscal fundamentals are weakening in Mexico and the economic environment is fairly negative, at this point we don't foresee going back to stable anytime soon," senior country analyst Shelly Shetty told Reuters.

Following Sunday's congressional election in which the ruling conservatives lost ground, Shetty said "clearly (the goverment) will have to be more aggressive and it will become harder to negotiate." (Reporting by Luis Rojas Mena, Editing by Chizu Nomiyama)
