Mexican stocks turn negative on credit worries

MEXICO CITY, Oct 7 (Reuters) - Mexican stocks erased sharp early gains to fall sharply on Tuesday as worries about the fast-spreading credit crisis overshadowed some relief after the U.S. Federal Reserve said it would buy commercial paper.

The IPC stock index .MXX fell 1.11 percent to 21,506. (Reporting by Michael O'Boyle; Editing by James Dalgleish)
