Shell says Motiva Port Arthur refinery shuts due Ike

HOUSTON, Sept 11 (Reuters) - Shell Oil Co (RDSa.L) said Thursday Motiva Enterprises 285,000 barrel per day (bpd) Port Arthur, Texas, refinery was shutting down on Thursday due to an eastward shift of Hurricane's Ike forecast path.

Motiva is a joint-venture between Shell and Saudi Refining. (Reporting by Erwin Seba; Editing by Louise Heavens)
