UPDATE 1-IBM loses patent fight with ASUSTeK at ITC
WASHINGTON, July 14 (Reuters) - Taipei's ASUSTeK (2357.TW) and ASUS Computer International did not infringe three International Business Machine (IBM.N) patents, according to a decision by the International Trade Commission announced onTuesday.
IBM had accused the ASUSTeK and ASUS of infringing three patents, but an administrative law judge working for the trade commission found no infringement in a ruling issued on March 16.
The ITC's decision upholds the law judge's ruling.
The ITC is a popular venue for patent disputes since the commission can bar the importation of products that use infringing technology. (Reporting by Diane Bartz, editing by Leslie Gevirtz)
