Wildfire threatens Los Angeles power supply -mayor
LOS ANGELES, Nov 15 (Reuters) - A fast-moving wildfire in suburban Los Angeles is a threat to the city's power supply, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa said on Saturday.
The fire, concentrated in the Los Angeles foothill suburb of Sylmar, could hit transmission lines that bring electrical power to Los Angeles.
"The fire is threatening the power of the city of Los Angeles," Villaraigosa said. "We may have to move to rolling blackouts." He urged residents to conserve power to avoid outages. (Writing by Bill Trott; Editing by Jackie Frank)
