BRASILIA, Oct 16 (Reuters) - Brazil is studying a possible export tax on iron ore, a government source told Reuters on Friday, amid growing tensions between the government and miner Vale (VALE.N)(VALE5.SA), the world's largest iron ore producer.

The source said the government still has not made any final decisions on the issue.
