NEW YORK, Oct 21 (Reuters) - A commuter train hit the bumper block at the end of the rail line in a New York City station on Wednesday, causing around eight minor injuries, officials said.

A spokeswoman for the Port Authority Trans Hudson (PATH) rail line that runs between New York City and the state of New Jersey said all trains were running normally after the accident at the 33rd Street station in central Manhattan.

City officials temporarily closed one block of 33rd Street for emergency response vehicles. (Reporting by Daniel Trotta; Editing by Eric Beech)
