MEXICO CITY, Oct 23 (Reuters) - Mexican home builder Urbi, one of the country's top housing developers, posted a 25.5 percent rise in third-quarter net profit, helped by higher sales to lower-middle class buyers amid a housing boom.

Urbi (URBI.MX: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz), which draws most of its revenues from sales of mass-produced houses that sell for less than $60,000 each, said it earned 532 million pesos ($49 million) in the July-September period.

Revenue in the quarter increased 23 percent to 3.36 billion pesos. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization rose 13.9 percent to 871 million pesos.

Urbi said it sold 9,409 homes in the third quarter, up 9.9 percent over the year-ago period. Sales of low-middle-income houses rose 84.6 percent and sales of cheaper entry-level homes, its traditional market, were 4.1 percent lower.

(Reporting by Jason Lange) ($1=10.926 at end-September)
