NEW YORK, Aug 28 (Reuters) - ConocoPhillips (COP.N) said Thursday work an a gasoline-producing fluid catalytic cracking unit at its 247,000 barrel per day Alliance refinery in Belle Chasse, Louisiana, was continuing.

The unit was shut for unplanned work on July 28 and the restart was delayed from traders' original estimate that the outage would last three weeks.

Conoco spokeswoman Terry Hunt said the company did not currently have an estimate for when the unit would be restarted. (Reporting by Rebekah Kebede)
