HOUSTON, July 30 (Reuters) - Tesoro Corp (TSO.N) said Thursday it was restarting a 35,000 barrel per day hydrocracker at its 166,000 bpd Golden Eagle refinery in Martinez, California.

Tesoro has completed repairs on the hydrocracker, which produces gasoline and diesel, and expects the unit to be on-line in less than a week, said Dan Porter, senior vice president of refining, during a Thursday morning conference call to discuss the company's second-quarter earnings.

The unit's July 21 shutdown for unplanned repairs sent gasoline in West Coast wholesale refined products markets up 4 cents. (Reporting by Erwin Seba; Editing by Walter Bagley)
