BEIJING, Nov 5 (Reuters) - China's central bank will stick to its relatively loose monetary policy stance and work to maintain an appropriate amount of liquidity in the banking system, one of its assistant governors said on Thursday.

Guo Qingping, an assistant governor with the People's Bank of China, told a financial forum that positive factors in the economy were gathering force.

Guo's comments come after the U.S. Federal Reserve on Wednesday expressed growing confidence that an economic recovery was building, even as it stuck to its commitment to keep borrowing costs near zero for "an extended period."
