SEOUL, Oct 13 (Reuters) - South Korea's GS Caltex will resume operation at its fire-hit crude unit around 8 p.m. Seoul time, or 1100 GMT, a company source said on Monday.

The No.2 crude distillation unit (CDU), capable of refining 130,000 barrels of crude per day (bpd), was hit by fire around midnight Sunday, which halted about 15 percent of its total refining capacity.

"We won't have any delay problems supplying products, since the CDU will be up again by later at night," said the source, who is close to refining operations at the company.

GS Caltex, a 50:50 joint venture between GS Holdings and Chevron Corp (CVX.N), has four crude units with a total capacity of 680,000 bpd. It was currently running at 630,000 bpd.

The fire was put on in less than an hour, and no casualties were reported at the Yosu plant, south of Seoul. (Reporting by Angela Moon; Editing by Keiron Henderson)
