SINGAPORE, Nov 5 (Reuters) - Indonesia's central bank intervened on Thursday to defend the rupiah at 9,500 per dollar, traders said.

The rupiah traded around 9,500 after falling as far as 9,585 in early trade as investors took profits from its recent rally.

"Early (rupiah) selling was quelled by central bank intervention and the rupiah has been stable since then," said a trader in Singapore. (Reporting by Kevin Yao; Editing by Neil Fullick)
