Canada PM promises C$400 mln for technology funds

TORONTO, Oct 7 (Reuters) - Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper will add C$400 million ($363 million) to two technology funds intended to help Central Canada's manufacturing sector, the Canadian Press reported on Tuesday.

Canadian Press also said Harper will announce more funds later on Tuesday as the Conservative Party unveils more of its platform ahead of the Oct. 14 election. the report said the cash to be added over the next four years will be repayable.
