TSMC's June sales fall 9.6 pct from year ago
TAIPEI, July 10 (Reuters) - TSMC (2330.TW), the world's biggest contract chip maker, said on Friday its June sales fell 9.6 percent from a year ago but marked the fourth straight monthly rise thanks to growing chip demand.
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co Ltd (TSMC) (TSM.N) had unconsolidated sales of T$25.78 billion ($781 million) last month, lower than T$28.51 billion a year ago but higher than May's T$24.47 billion.
TSMC announced the results after the Taipei stock market closed on Friday. TSMC shares rose 1.45 percent, outperforming the main TAIEX's 0.32 percent gain. (US$1=T$33) (Reporting by Baker Li, Editing by Jonathan Hopfner)
