NATO may buy $700 mln of Boeing cargo planes

WASHINGTON, May 9 (Reuters) - The Defense Security Cooperation Agency said on Friday it notified the U.S. Congress of a possible sale of $700 million worth of Boeing (BA.N) C-17 cargo planes to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

The proposed sale would also involve contractor United Technologies Corp (UTX.N), the agency said in a statement. (Reporting by Julie Vorman; editing by John Wallace)
