WASHINGTON, June 18 (Reuters) - Northrop Grumman Corp (NOC.N) said Wednesday it continued to believe it offered the U.S Air Force the best aerial refueling tanker after U.S. auditors faulted the acquisition process.

"We respect the GAO's (Government Accountability Office) work in analyzing the Air Force's tanker acquisition process," said Randy Belote, a Northrop Grumman spokesman. "We continue to believe that Northrop Grumman offered the most modern and capable tanker for our men and women in uniform." (Reporting by Jim Wolf; editing by Jeffrey Benkoe)
