WASHINGTON, April 23 (Reuters) - The Pentagon has notified the U.S. Congress of a possible sale to Canada of six Boeing Co (BA.N) CH-47D Chinook heavy-lift transport helicopters and related gear valued at up to $375 million.

As part of the proposed pacakge, Canada is also seeking 12 Honeywell International Inc. (HON.N) T-55 turbine engines, or two per helicopter, the Pentagon's Defense Security Cooperation Agency said in a notice made public Wednesday. (Reporting by Jim Wolf, editing by Maureen Bavdek)
