WASHINGTON, Sept 24 (Reuters) - Wireless chipmaker Broadcom Corp (BRCM.O) won a patent battle on Wednesday as an appeals court affirmed that Qualcomm Inc (QCOM.O) infringed two cell phone patents and upheld an injunction.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit ruled in Qualcomm's favor in one of the three patents at issue in Wednesday's ruling, saying that it was not infringed.

But it affirmed the judgment of infringement in two other cases, "and the injunction as it pertains to those patents." (Reporting by Diane Bartz, editing by Gerald E. McCormick)
