Rohm and Haas to build plant in Vietnam
NEW YORK, May 26 (Reuters) - U.S. chemical and electronic materials maker Rohm and Haas Co ROH.N said on Monday it intends to build an acrylic emulsion facility in Vietnam to meet fast-growing needs for the paints and coatings market.
The Philadelphia-based company will spend about $10 million for the facility, which is to be completed by mid-2009.
Reuters reported two months ago the company was considering plans to build such a facility in the southeast Asian country. (Reporting by Euan Rocha; Editing by James Dalgleish)
