Packaging Corp second-quarter profit climbs

NEW YORK, July 18 (Reuters) - Packaging Corp of America (PKG.N), which makes cardboard boxes, said on Wednesday its second quarter earnings rose, driven mainly by higher pricing and sales volume coupled with lower mill outage costs.

The company posted quarterly earnings of $46 million, or 44 cents a share, compared with $32 million, or 31 cents a share, in the year ago period.
