EU agency backs Eli Lilly's Cymbalta for wider use
LONDON, June 26 (Reuters) - The European Medicines Agency has recommended wider use of Eli Lilly's (LLY.N) Cymbalta and privately-held Boehringer Ingelheim's Xeristar for generalised anxiety disorder, the drugs watchdog said on Thursday.
Recommendations for marketing approval by the agency's Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) are normally endorsed by the European Commission within a couple of months. (Reporting by Michael Kahn)
