Affymax says to continue studying anemia drug

Aug 7 (Reuters) - Affymax Inc (AFFY.O) said an independent data monitoring committee has determined that the company can continue studying its anemia drug in late-stage trials.

Hematide is being evaluated to treat anemia in chronic renal failure patients on dialysis and not on dialysis.
