NEW YORK, March 31 (Reuters) - Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp said on Monday it will close the Allenport, Pennsylvania, cold-rolled steel plant and idle two of three galvanizing lines at its Martins Ferry, Ohio, steel processing plant.

The actions are part of a restructuring plan first announced last November, said Wheeling-Pitt, a subsidiary of Esmark Inc ESMK.O.

The company has begun issuing notice of the planned actions under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act. It gave no further details, or said how many workers were affected.
