Hanesbrands 3rd-quarter profit falls
NEW YORK, Oct 25 (Reuters) - Underwear manufacturer Hanesbrands Inc (HBI.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) reported lower third-quarter profit on Thursday, hurt by increased interest expense.
The maker of Wonderbra and Champion T-shirts said net income declined to $38.9 million, or 40 cents a share, from $50.35 million, or 52 cents a share, in the year-earlier period.
Hanesbrands went public in September 2006 after being spun off from food and consumer goods company Sara Lee Corp (SLE.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz).
