NEW YORK, April 23 (Reuters) - Proxy adviser Glass Lewis & Co has recommended that shareholders of Furniture Brands International Inc (FBN.N) elect Sun Capital nominees Alan Schwartz and T. Scott King to the furniture maker's board at its annual meeting, Sun said on Wednesday.

Glass Lewis said Furniture Brands needs a change in its board composition due the company's "long-term underperformance" and share price decline. (Reporting by Justin Grant; Editing by Derek Caney and Dave Zimmerman)
