BOJ offers $44.2390 bln in dollar supply operation-Kyodo

TOKYO, Nov 5 (Reuters) - The Bank of Japan said on Wednesday it had allotted $44.2390 billion in its dollar supply money market operation, Kyodo news agency reported, as part of worldwide central bank efforts to deal with strong dollar demand.

The BOJ said the start date for the operation was Nov. 6 in the United States and the end date was Jan. 29, 2009, in the United States.

It is the fourth dollar funding operation by the BOJ since late September.

The BOJ said on Tuesday it had offered an unlimited amount in three-month dollar funds at a fixed rate of 1.600 percent.
