Toronto stocks dive 400 points as resources slump

TORONTO, Sept 9 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index dove more than 3 precent on Tuesday afternoon, yanked lower by energy and materials shares as the price of oil tumbled as much as $4.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 400.84 points, or 3.2 percent, at 12,233.80. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; Editing by Ka Yan Ng)
