China's Wuhan Bank eyes foreign investors -source
SHANGHAI, March 23 (Reuters) - Wuhan Urban Commercial Bank, a small city bank in central China, is in talks to bring in overseas strategic investors, a source close to the situation said on Friday.
The lender, based in Wuhan, capital city of Hubei province where it has 93 branches, has been in touch with U.S. and European banks, the source, who asked not to be identified, told Reuters.
Wuhan Bank, set up in 1997 with registered capital of 568 million yuan ($73.53 million), will consider a stock listing after bringing in foreign shareholders, the source said.
The source gave no further details on the matter. ($1=7.724 Yuan)
