Weyerhaeuser strikes deal to buy Idabel sawmill
NEW YORK, Sept 20 (Reuters) - Weyerhaeuser Co (WY.N), one of the world's largest forest products companies, said on Thursday it would buy Idabel, a contract sawmill for the company owned by Freeman Brothers Inc.
Weyerhaeuser said the terms of the sale were not disclosed.
Idabel, which also supplies chips for Weyerhaeuser's containerboard mill in Valliant, Oklahoma, employs about 130 people and has the capacity to produce 130 million board feet of lumber per year. (Reporting by Anupreeta Das)
